One of the things that I really enjoy about working with small business is the opportunity to work with passionate business owners and make a real difference to people’s lives and livelihoods.
Small businesses usually don’t have the luxury of having a team of staff (or even 1 person) to look after the people side of the business. As a small to medium business owner, you care about your team, but don’t always have the time or experience to navigate some of the more challenging people issues.
As an experienced Business Psychologist, I help small to medium business owners deal with the challenging people side of your business.

Attracting & retaining good staff
I’m not a recruitment service, but I can help you work out who and what you need, help you develop a strategy to attract them, partner with you in your selection process and help you keep them.

Managing poor behaviour
In a small business, the contagious effect of poor performance or challenging behaviour can be catastrophic. Terminating their employment may be a quick solution, but you’ve invested time and money to hire and train them. I can help you to turn that behaviour around.

Business Owner Coaching
It can be lonely at the top. This is for you. Your opportunity to have a sounding board; to be challenged and supported as a business owner to take the right next step for you, your family and your business.

Leadership development
You may have a small group of team leaders or senior staff who’ve been with you for a while. I can help them step up and form a high performing , supportive leadership team; freeing you up to focus on the business.

Managing Staff Wellbeing
I provide a structured “wellbeing check in” program (a modified and proactive version of an Employee Assistance Program) to help you and your staff deal with work, personal and interpersonal challenges, and stay on top of their game.

Conflict Management
Conflict is inevitable at some time for most workplaces (even between business partners). I help with facilitated discussions and mediation. My process supports people being able to express their key concerns, feel heard and move forward to adopt a cooperative approach to resolution.
How it Works
These services produce the best results when they are not transactional. My preferred arrangement is to partner with you. This means time spent up front to understand you, your business, and your goals for the future. Our first meeting is always free. This gives both of us the opportunity to see how we connect and whether we are the right fit.
